Arena Mediation, with our main office in Romsey, aims to provide a high quality, forward-thinking mediation service to Hampshire and the surrounding area. By maintaining good working relationships with other related professionals, e.g. solicitors, counsellors, social workers, the courts and financial advisers, we aim to provide you with the means to take control of your own affairs.

 

 

 

Our mediators come from many different professional backgrounds, but all are trained to a high level of competency in the field of mediation. We have a vast amount of experience upon which we can draw, as our mediators are some of the best in their field, with both national and international recognition.

 

Each mediator has been assessed as being competent to practise by the government's Legal Services Commission. We are members of the College of Mediators, the FMA (Family Mediators Association), Resolution and a variety of other professional bodies.

 

We also have fully trained and experienced BACP counsellors on site, to whom any client, or their children, can be referred if appropriate.

 

Wendy Dolby StevenswendydolbystevensWendy Dolby-Stevens is a non-practising barrister. She has worked in mediation for many years and qualified as a Professional Practice Consultant in 2007.

She co-owns the company with Alison Ambrose. Wendy takes a keen interest in new ways of working.

A member of Resolution and the Family Mediators' Association, she is looking to raise the profile of mediation both locally and nationally.

She is married with 3 children.

 

Alison AmbrosealisonambroseAlison Ambrose has a previous background as an employment rights advisor with the Citizens Advice Bureau, and has represented clients at tribunal level.

 

She trained as a mediator in 2002 and qualified as a Professional Practice Consultant in 2007. Alison co-owns the business with Wendy Dolby-Stevens

 

A member of Resolution and the Family Mediators' Association, Alison is committed to adapting the process of mediation to suit clients' individual needs. She is a member of the College of Mediators and has 3 children.

 

John AmbroseJohn Ambrose has now retired from formal mediation practice.

However, we are delighted to be able to continue to benefit from his experience in his new capacity as Consultant to our practise.

 

He is a former Governor of the UK College of Family Mediation and a former vice-chair of National Family Mediation and of both organisations' Professional Practice Committees.

 

Jullian SamiloffJulian Samiloff is a qualified and UKCP accredited psychotherapist, practising barrister and university lecturer.

 

With 20 years of experience of practice at the Bar he regularly sees people dealing with their problems in discord and caught in the adversarial process of litigation.

 

Julian is now also a fully qualified mediator. He lives and works on the Isle of Wight and has one daughter.

 

Ceri Hamptonceri hampton solicitor & family mediatorCeri Hampton is a qualified and practising family solicitor who has previously worked in financial services, with the Citizens Advice Bureau and sat on Social Security Appeals Tribunals.

 

She continues to work as a locum solicitor but believes strongly that mediation is the way forward in family disputes. She is a member of Resolution.

 

Ceri is married with two children.

 

Ashley PalmerAshley Palmer. Ashley is our newest addition to the mediator team and has recently completed her mediator training and gaining experience. She is also a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist - BSc, BACP, UPCA.
